NZCT has awarded $20,000 to the One Taupo Trust for their Winter Festival Community Light Trail.
Trustee Nicola Carter says -
We requested financial assistance from NZCT to cover the cost of installing the Light Trail for the Taupo Winter Festival. This funding will help us create a seventeen-night Light Hub experience, free to over 14,000 attendees. These sorts of arts features would not be available to them if the Taupo Winter Festival was not able to bring them into town.
The Light Hub impacts thousands of attendees who can attend for free. Not only does it expose people to art, but also gives friends and family the opportunity to make special experiences and memories for them.
The One Taupo Trust was formed in 2015 and produced the first Winter Festival the following year. Our mission is not only to bring artistic, cultural, and memorable experiences to life, but also to contribute to families in the region.
