Stokes Valley Cricket Club has hit a six in its successful grant application for $8,187 towards the purchase of new equipment
“Thanks to the amazing financial support from New Zealand Community Trust we are able to provide our club teams with essential playing equipment and cricket balls for safe enjoyment of the game. This funding enables continued participation from all members of our community especially during difficult financial times.”
Stokes Valley Cricket Club was established in 1948/9 and has a proud record of achievement, including back-to-back Hutt Valley Senior Championships, two Pearce Cup titles in 1999/2000 and again in 2000/2001, plus the national club One Day title in 2000.
Stokes Valley Cricket Club pride themselves on their community involvement, offering playing opportunities to all, schools coaching, and welcoming families into their clubrooms and training facilities.
The club's home ground is Delaney Park and currently fields teams in various Cricket Wellington grades including 2-Day, 1-Day, T20 for Men and Women, Juniors, and Girls Cricket.
