Dave retired in 2019 from his role as a relationship manager for Sport New Zealand, and has had a long involvement in sport and recreation, initially as a cricketer and secondary school teacher and coach. Later, he moved into leadership roles as CEO Harbour Sport, Manager Regional Services for the Hillary Commission and CEO of Squash New Zealand. During this time he also served in governance roles on the Boards of Equestrian New Zealand, North Harbour Stadium Trust and North Harbour Netball Trust.
After a period where he operated as a freelance consultant, Dave returned to sports management at Sport NZ and remains especially interested in how investors support volunteer organisations at community level.

Former Deputy Mayor of Rotorua, Trevor is the city's longest serving District Councillor with more than 30 years to his credit. Tourism New Zealand appointed Trevor as Kaupapa Director in 2008, and he is currently Chairman of the Opera in the Park organising committee, Deputy Chairman of Toi Maori (New Zealand Maori Arts Board), and a member of the Rotorua Civic Arts Trust, Lakeside Concert Charitable Trust and the Rotorua Tourism Board. Former leader of award-winning cultural group, Ngati Rangiwewehi, he was also the Te Arawa representative on the Aotearoa Performing Arts Committee.

Sean is a pharmacist and active member of Waikanae Surf Life Saving Club. He has coached and played many sports over the years, currently enjoying mountain biking, cycling, weights, walking and golf. Sean was a driving force behind the popular Kaiti Hill Challenge.
He has served on the Mangapapa School Board of Trustees and is currently on the Chelsea Hospital Board.

Educated in Wellington and Palmerston North, Ian Smith has been a Hawke’s Bay resident for 25 years, along with his wife and three sons.
After an early career in banking, Ian was a New Zealand cricketer from 1980 to 1992. He was also a sports commentator for TVNZ for 5 years and has been a commentator for Sky TV for the past 20 years.
He is patron of Cornwall Cricket Club in Hastings.

Real estate agent and Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand, Selwyn is a Justice of the Peace, and has been awarded Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit. He is a member and past President of the Rotary Club of Hawera and holds a status of a Paul Harris Fellow.
In 2008 Selwyn was appointed by the New Zealand Law Society as a lay person to the Taranaki Law Society’s Standards Committee and continues to fill this role. Selwyn is also a past Trustee of the Taranaki Savings Bank Community Trust Board and the Taranaki Elite Athletes Foundation. He is the past President of both Wrestling New Zealand and the Oceania Wrestling Committee.
He was also a qualified international wrestling referee, having judged wrestling at four Commonwealth Games as well as being appointed on the Sydney Olympic Games Organising Committee to oversee wrestling.

Danny is the Chief Executive Officer of Sport Whanganui. He has a background in facility management and has experience of local government as a former district councillor.
Danny is passionate about sport and its value for community wellness. He is actively involved with grassroots sport through managing teams and serving on club committees and boards.
He has interests in NZ Masters Games Company and NZ Masters Games Trust, River City Boxing Club, Wanganui City Football Club, Cricket Wanganui and Community Recreation Services Trust.

Paul Matheson QSO JP is a former Mayor and recently deputy Mayor of Nelson and has been widely involved in many business and community organisations both locally and nationally.
Paul's interests in the sports arena are cricket and rugby but also hugely supportive of youth involvement in all sports.
Paul has had many years working and representing NZCT over the top of the South Island

Stephen played cricket for New Zealand from 1978 to 1989. A former Director and President of New Zealand Cricket, he was awarded the ONZM for services to sport and the community in 2016.
Stephen is passionate about all sports and loves the outdoors and the New Zealand back country.
